With the Bachelor of Design, you’ll be able to apply your imaginative thinking across a wide variety of industries.
According to the Foundation for Young Australians, demand for employees with creativity skills has risen over 65% over the past few years. Studying a Bachelor of Design will teach you design thinking that’s in demand across tech, architecture, planning our cities, government, the arts and more.
You might apply your creativity to the built environment or engineering, learning to improve our cities, buildings, transport networks, technologies, processes, bridges and landscapes. Guaranteed graduate pathways into the Melbourne School of Design
Our Bachelor of Design graduates are guaranteed entry into a selection of masters programs. To qualify students must complete the corresponding undergraduate major and achieve a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65% in the Bachelor of Design.
The majors and their corresponding Masters include:
- Architecture major into Master of Architecture (200 points)
- Construction Management major into Master of Construction Management (200 points)
- Landscape Architecture major into Master of Landscape Architecture (200 points)
- Property major into Master of Property (200 points)
- Urban Planning major into Master of Urban Planning (200 points)
Domestic students who are eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) are guaranteed a CSP in the Master’s program if they meet the following WAM requirements:
- Master of Architecture: 72%+ WAM
- All Other MSD Master’s Programs listed above: 70%+ WAM
