  • Become an expert in your chosen field of education
  • Ideal for educators looking to move into middle or senior positions
  • Flexible course with ten specialisation areas
  • Research option available for qualified students intending to pursue graduate research
  • 12 or 18-month fast-track options available for qualified teachers
  • Capstone subject includes international travel opportunities.

Our newly revamped Master of Education is designed for a range of educational professionals who want to develop or extend their expertise in educational theories, policies and approaches to enrich current practices in their roles or move into leadership, specialist or coordinator positions. Students have the opportunity to become acknowledged leaders in their field of interest by choosing from a wide range of ten specialisations, including two newly developed specialisations, The Science of Learning and Digital Futures and Innovative Practices.

The course is embedded in the foundations of indigeneity, diversity and inclusion, sustainability and international perspectives.

Who is the course for?

The Master of Education has been created for the learning needs of teachers or educators, from early childhood to post-compulsory, looking to specialise their knowledge in a variety of education fields. It will also benefit those currently in wider education-related roles, such as youth workers, policy makers, education administrators or managers, and those in tertiary education.

Please note: the Master of Education is not an initial teacher education qualification and does not provide eligibility for registration to teach in Australian schools. For information on becoming a teacher, please visit the Become a Teacher page.
